Dr. Jamelia Harris is the founder of Write Your Dissertation, Sis and a nationally recognized researcher, educator, and equity consultant with over a decade of experience in research, teaching, and policy advocacy. She currently serves as the Senior Director of Collaborative Research and Innovative Thought at the Justice + Joy National Collaborative, where she leads initiatives to end violence in the lives of Black girls and girls of color through community-centered research, organizing, and systems change.
As a certified DEI practitioner and race-gender equity strategist, Dr. Harris has partnered with schools, government agencies, and community-based organizations across the country—delivering research-informed professional development, strategic advising, and technical assistance.
Through Write Your Dissertation, Sis, Dr. Harris also supports Black women and femmes in academia with holistic writing and coaching services that empower them to complete dissertations, craft compelling personal statements, and advance confidently into the next stage of their careers.
